Do I need a separate primer before using these paints?
Many of our products are designed for efficiency. Ultrashield Interior/Exterior and UltraNamel Door & Trim are self-priming. For surfaces that require special preparation, such as those with tannin bleed or aged enamel, our UltraPrime 3 in 1 acts as a high-adhesion sealer, primer, and undercoat.
Can I use these paints in wet areas like bathrooms?
Yes. Our UltraFlat Ceiling White is specifically formulated to be mould and mildew resistant, making it suitable for use in bathrooms. Ultrashield is also mould and dirt resistant, providing a durable solution for walls in wet areas.
How should I prepare a surface before painting?
For all our interior and exterior coatings, you must ensure the substrate is clean and free from any contamination like dirt, dust, or oils. It is also important to stir the product thoroughly before use.
How long do I need to wait before applying a second coat?
Our interior and exterior range is formulated for a fast recoat time. For Ultrashield, UltraFlat, UltraNamel, and UltraPrime, the recommended time before applying a second coat is 2 hours.
Will the white trim paint yellow over time?
No. Our UltraNamel Door & Trim paint is a non-yellowing formula. It utilises advanced pure acrylic and polyurethane resin technology to produce an exceptionally durable and colour-stable finish.
What is the coverage of the interior/exterior paints?
Coverage varies slightly by product. Ultrashield Interior/Exterior and UltraFlat Ceiling White offer coverage of up to 14 square metres per litre (14 sqm/Lt). UltraNamel and UltraPrime provide coverage of up to 12 square metres per litre (12 sqm/Lt).
