CASE STUDY: Arndale Shopping Centre
Arndale Shopping Centre is a warehouse style retail building with two tenancies. The roof area is approx.. 1250m2 and the floor area is equally divided by the two tenancies. Each have a separate air conditioning system. Other than a small area in the eastern corner, there is no shade on the roof and the building is completely surrounded by hard concrete surfaces.
Post coating with Thermobond HRC, the average roof surface temperature reduced by a staggering 9.3 and 8.6 degrees respectively. This data was extracted from a study carried out by Ergon Energy.
